|Teams:||Calgary Bisons — 2|
|At:||Calgary Bronks — 3|
This game started out with both teams playing fairly safe games, not giving up many quality scoring chances. The action picked up in the second as each team started to apply very good pressure on the fore check. Considering the low number of scoring chances there was still some good action. After two periods the teams were tied at two goals apiece.
The Bronks came hard in the third and took the lead early on a goal by Mark Logan. From there they shut the Bisons down. Even though they enjoyed a full five minute power play and Bronks leading scorer Jamal Watson’s ejection, the Bisons could not anything going, showing frustration at times. The Bronks held on for the 3-2 win.
12 Jay Merkley (F) — Jay picked up his team leading 39 point of the season scoring the Bisons first goal of the game. Jay used his speed to help his team create offensive chances. Jay is able to change direction and speed very well while carrying the puck making him dangerous when gaining the offensive zone.
18 Mark Logan (F) — Mark played a hard game tonight. Throughout the game Mark fought hard for puck possession in the corners and along the boards. Mark’s acceleration helps him get to the dirty area quickly and also allow him to make physical impact on the game. At 5’8 and 130lbs, Mark plays bigger than his size.
