Teams: Lethbridge Golden Hawks —1
At: Calgary Northstar Sabres — 5
Synopsis: This game was filled with action at both ends of the ice throughout. In the opening period each team had trouble getting the puck out of their own zone, leading to many good scoring chances.

Even thought the Sabres headed to the third period with a 3-1 lead, the result was up in the air. The Sabres came out strong in the third. Chad Labelle and Cade Owad scored shorthanded goals about 30 seconds apart near the half way point of the frame, which proved to be the nail in the coffin for the Hawks.

The line of Riley Whittingham, Chad Labelle, and Cade Owad combined for nine points, leading the way for the Sabres. Ryan Chynoweth responded with a goal for the Hawks and Tyson Brouwer made 40 saves in the loss.
