|Teams:||Calgary Royals Gold – 4|
|At:||Calgary Bisons - 6|
|Synopsis:||The first two periods were very close with the Bisons having the edge in speed and puck control, while the Royals controlled the physical aspect of the game.
During the third period when the Bisons played the line of Morgan Klimchuk, Jay Merkley, and Tanner MacMaster, the Royals had no answer. The lines combined for 4 goals and 2 assists in the frame.
While the trio of Klimchuk, Merkley and MacMaster was on the bench the Royals were able to turn the momentum in their favor but were not able to do enough for the win
Calgary Royals Gold:
7 Josh Morrissey (D) - Josh had a very solid game and scored a nice goal on a one time shot from the point. Josh played an aggressive game, jumping into the rush and making a number of good hits. Josh showed good speed and quickness and looks to be a solid all around defenceman.
11 Morgan Klimchuk (F) - For the first two periods Morgan didn’t really stand out but in the third period he took over. Morgan showed that he has very good puck handling abilities, and with his line mates controlled the entire play while on the ice. Although only credited with 1 goal and 1 assist, Morgan was instrumental in all four third period goals.
